Following President Donald Trump's announcement of a U.S. strategic cryptocurrency reserve, several large-cap altcoins experienced significant surges. XRP, Solana, and Cardano led the market gainers on Sunday after Trump confirmed their inclusion in the reserve, causing immediate price rallies.

Cardano's native token, ADA, saw the most substantial reaction, soaring 57% in 24 hours, driving its price above $1 for the first time in over five weeks. Trading volume for ADA jumped by 1405% to $9 billion. Technical analysis, specifically the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), indicated a "Buy" signal, with most moving averages reflecting bullish sentiment.

XRP increased by over 24%, becoming the second most successful cryptocurrency in the same period. Its trading volume increased by 474%, reaching nearly $19 billion, making it the fourth most traded cryptocurrency in the last 24 hours. The surge caused XRP to trend online, with Google Trends reporting a peak popularity score of 100. Additionally, cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez reported that whales purchased over 270 million XRP tokens, valued at $753 million, in the last 24 hours.

Solana also experienced gains, rising by 17%, with its trading volume hitting $12.39 billion after a 333% increase. Martinez pointed out that SOL was breaking out of a descending parallel channel, potentially targeting a move to $213.

The broader cryptocurrency market capitalization rose by 8.53% to $3.08 trillion, recovering from a period below $3 trillion. Trump also clarified that Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) would be central to the strategic reserve.
