CAF Inter-Club: Remo Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, Kwara United To Earn Increased Prize Money

Clubs competing in this year’s CAF Inter-Club competitions, including Nigeria’s representatives, will enjoy increased financial rewards from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The decision was announced during CAF’s executive committee meeting held on Saturday in Rabat, Morocco, ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

A key resolution from the meeting is the significant increase in prize money for teams participating in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup.

Last season, each club received $50,000 for their participation. This season, the amount has been doubled to $100,000 per club.

Nigeria’s Remo Stars and Rivers United will fly the flag in the Champions League, while Abia Warriors and Kwara United will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup.
