Bulgaria - Bulgarian-NBL-round-24-best-performance-Brett-Reed-by-Hoops-Agents
American Forward Brett Reed (204-F-1996) had a great game in the last round for BC Beroe Stara Zagora, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 24.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Minyor 2015 (#7, 9-12) with 20-point margin 99-79. Beroe maintains the 6th position in Bulgarian NBL. Beroe is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-11 record. Reed turned to be Beroe's top player in his first season with the team. Former St. Martin's University star has very solid stats this year. Reed is in league's top in points (9th best: 14.8ppg), rebounds (4th best: 7.9rpg) and averages impressive 58.3% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Bosnia and Herzegovina Obrad Tomic (208-C-1993, agency: PEPI SPORT) of
Akademik Plovdiv. Tomic had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 16 rebounds. Of course he led Akademik to another comfortable win 84-69 over the lower-ranked Shumen (#9, 2-20) being unquestionably team leader. Akademik's 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 11-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Tomic is a newcomer at Akademik, but is already one of team's top players.Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Lamonte Turner (188-G-1997) of league's second-best
Balkan Botevgrad. Turner scored 24 points and passed 6 assists. Despite Turner's great performance the Balkan lost 75-103 to #1 ranked Rilski. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Balkan needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 15 victories and 6 lost games. Turner has a very solid season. In 5 games in Bulgaria he scored 6.8ppg.Other top performing players last week:

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
