Building collapses after massive fire at factory triggers blast in Delhi's Bawana | Delhi News - Times of India
NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at a factory in Delhi's Bawana Industrial Area early Saturday, leading to a building collapse caused by blasts, with 17 fire tenders deployed to the scene.
No injuries were reported in the incident, according to fire department officials.The fire department responded swiftly to control the situation at the Bawana factory, which contained inflammable materials.
"The building has collapsed and there are inflammable materials in the building... No one has been injured in the incident...The fire is almost under control..." said Divisional Fire Officer Ashok Kumar Jaiswal.In a separate incident on Tuesday night, a fire broke out at a private school in Delhi's Nirman Vihar Colony, under the Preet Vihar Police Station area. The fire damaged a car parked near the school.The fire department dispatched five fire tenders to handle the school fire. Fire Officer Firoz Khan provided details of the response."We received a call at 8.55 pm. Five fire tenders reached the spot and we doused the fire. There was a fire at the school, an adjacent building, and a nearby car," said Khan.No casualties were reported in either the factory or school incidents.
