Bugaboo Recalls 18,000+ Giraffe High Chairs Due to Fall Hazard Risk

Published 1 day ago2 minute read

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the screws that connect the legs to the frame may not be properly tightened during assembly. If they loosen or detach, the legs can separate from the chair—posing a dangerous risk to children seated inside.

This recall includes Bugaboo’s Giraffe high chairs in five colors:

The chairs measure about 30 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 23 inches long. The item code can be found on the underside of the seat.

Bugaboo has received 22 reports of the chair’s legs detaching, including 13 cases involving minor injuries. No fatalities have been reported at this time.

If you own a recalled Bugaboo Giraffe high chair:

The high chairs were sold at and other specialty retailers nationwide, as well as online at bugaboo.com and Amazon.com, for about $380.
