Getty ImagesFor days now, Morgan Wallen has been ruling the iTunes top albums chart in the United States The country singer's latest full-length I'm the Problem debuted atop the ranking of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs on the important music platform when it was released on Friday (May 16), and it hasn't budged since.
Throughout the past few days, several titles have attempted to conquer the list, but none have been able to unseat the powerhouse musician – not even the Boss.
Bruce Springsteen surprised his legion of fans earlier this week with a brand new EP. Land of Hope and Dreams arrived on Tuesday (May 20), though it came with little fanfare, so it took his following a little while to catch on.
The six-song EP, which is centered around his ongoing tour of the same name, needed a day or so to arrive on the iTunes tally, but now it is surging. As of the time of writing, Land of Hope and Dreams sits at No. 2 on the iTunes top albums list. It comes in behind only the unmoved I'm the Problem, which is selling too well to face any real competition for the throne.
Springsteen replaces Even in Arcadia by Sleep Token in the runner-up spot on the iTunes top albums chart. That full-length, which is more than a week old at this point, currently leads the Billboard 200. It recently became the metal band’s first champion on that competitive list in the U.S.
When it was brand new, I'm the Problem kept one of the seven singers that make up BTS from rising to No. 1 on iTunes. Jin released his new solo EP Echo at the same time that Wallen shared his latest full-length, but there wasn't much of a competition between the two.
While he might not have reached the top spot, Jin does occupy a pair of spaces inside the top 10 at the moment. A slightly altered version of Echo, now called Echo (+2DB), appears at No. 6, while the original lands at No. 7.
Land of Hope and Dreams features selections from the opening night of Springsteen and his E Street Band’s latest leg of their ongoing tour, now labeled Land of Hope and Dreams, which kicked off in Manchester in the U.K. only a few days ago. The EP precedes the rocker’s upcoming seven-album box set, Tracks 2: The Lost Albums, which is set to arrive in June.
