The Denver Broncos have to do everything they can to keep talent around Bo Nix.
Courtland Sutton is the Broncos' top receiver, and his contract is due for a renewal.
The latest news for Sutton is good, at least.
Sutton recently spoke with The Denver Post about negotiations.
“My team has had a really good conversation with the guys up there in the front office, and I think it’s working in the right direction,” Sutton said. “Ultimately, you just want to know you’re working in the right direction. I think they see and have seen what I’ve brought to the team."
In summary, Sutton said, “I’m open and optimistic about the fact that I’ll be able to be here for the rest of my career.”

It's big news for the Broncos.
Sutton is projected by Spotrac to sign a three-year deal for more than $26 million per season that amounts to about $79 million in total value.
The 29-year old had his best season in six years as part of Nix's rookie year.
Sutton went for 81 catches, 1,081 yards and eight touchdowns as he played in all 17 games.
Nix surely would support an extension, and Sutton seems happy.
Looks like it's just a matter of getting the contract over the finish line.
