Brace for 43°C on Monday, temp set to rise across Guj | Ahmedabad News - The Times of India
Ahmedabad: On Sunday, the maximum temperature in the city was 41.8 degrees celsius, which was near normal. The minimum temperature was 27.4 degrees, which was 1.3 degrees higher than normal. On Monday, however, the maximum temperature is set to rise to 43 degrees, according to the forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The forecast mentioned, "No large change in maximum temperature during the next 24 hours; thereafter, a rise by 2-3 degrees celsius is very likely over the region. Maximum temperatures are very likely to be in the range of 40-44 degrees celsius over parts of the Gujarat region." The same period may also see high heat and high humidity in coastal areas, added the forecast.
The maximum temperature reached 45.6 degrees in Kandla on Sunday, followed by 44.4 degrees in Rajkot, 44.3 degrees in Surendranagar, 43.8 degrees in Bhuj, and 43.5 degrees in Amreli, among others.
