Bosnian Forward Harun Zrno Commits to Rutgers
Rutgers picked up a commitment today with the news that Bosnian forward Harun Zrno has committed to the program.
Zrno originally committed to Indiana back in January before ultimately decommitting in March shortly after the season ended with Mike Woodson stepping down. The 6’7 forward previously visited Creighton, Indiana, Virginia and Wisconsin before his original commitment to Indiana.
The 21 year played professionally overseas in Bosnia before deciding to head to the states to start his collegiate basketball career. While playing for KK Slavija Zrno shot 43.7% from three and averaged 17.5 points and 3.6 assists per game. The hope is his game will translate stateside as Rutgers desperately needs to find some offensive production and could greatly use some perimeter shooting.
Zrno is the fifth freshman addition for 2025 so far for the Scarlet Knights, joining Lino Mark, Kaden Powers, Chris Nwuli and Gevonte Ware.
“The most important thing for me is to get a chance to play right away,” Zrno said back in January. ”I’m coming with a lot of experience already, so I’m ready to play. I also want to be around good people who can teach me how to get to the next level.”
