Bobby Portis and Jabari Smith Jr. sign major multi-year contract extensions
Bobby Portis, who turned 30 in February, has spent the last five years with the Bucks, where he has played the best basketball of his career. In 2021, he helped the team win the NBA title, and in 2024, he won the NBA Cup.
Last season, he played 49 games, averaging 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
Before joining the Bucks, he also played for the New York Knicks, Washington Wizards, and Chicago Bulls.

He extended his deal with the Texas franchise for five years, during which he will earn $122 million.
Jabari Smith Jr. was the third overall pick in the 2022 draft and quickly established himself as a key player for the Rockets. He has played an especially important role since Ime Udoka became the Rockets’ head coach, with whom he has developed excellent chemistry.
Last season, over 57 games, he averaged 12.2 points and 7.1 rebounds, and he is also highly valued for his outstanding defense.
