Published 1 day ago1 minute read

Bandera Independent School District has begun construction of secure entry vestibules and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) upgrades across its campuses, the district announced in a recent press release.

The new safety vestibules, which will be installed at the front entrances of schools district-wide, are designed to enhance campus security while maintaining a welcoming environment for visitors.

According to the release, these spaces serve as controlled entry points where guests are greeted and checked in before being allowed further access to school buildings.

All vestibules will be built to meet ADA compliance standards, ensuring accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

In addition, Bandera High School will receive an upgraded restroom facility to bring it into compliance with current ADA requirements.

“These improvements support safer learning environments and reflect the district’s ongoing commitment to student safety, campus security, and equitable access,” the district stated in the release.

The updates are part of Bandera ISD’s broader initiative to create an environment where every learner can thrive.
