President William Ruto has reassigned Belio Kipsang, the longtime Principal Secretary for Basic Education, to a different ministry.

In a statement dated Friday, March 20, Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei announced that Kipsang has been transferred from the Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Interior as the Principal Secretary, State Department for Immigration and Citizen Services.

Kipsang was not the only official reassigned, as Medical Services Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai was also transferred to the Ministry of Mining.

Principal Secretary Julius Bitok has been transferred from Immigration and Citizen Services to the State Department for Basic Education.
