Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Our bassist Finn and I live ten minutes away from one another, and we met through a mutual friend when we were 16 and have been playing music together ever since. We met our drummer Liam Berry in the Cork School of Music in 2022. Our band was originally called Private Idaho.

How would you describe your music?

Sort of shoegaze, sort of alternative, sort of indie. Someone recently described us as Nirvana meets Slowdive which I think is a good way of introducing people to us.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Finn: I take a lot of musical inspiration from the post-punk era, bands like Joy Division, The Fall and Magazine. I find the style, image and sound of these bands something I look up to and at times try to emulate in Little Known.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Liam: My first gig was Bell X1 in the Marquee when I was very, very young, It was all a bit loud and intimidating to small me.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Finn: The first record I bought was In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson at Bunker Vinyl in Cork City.

What's your favourite song right now?

Berry: Landlord Blues by Sell Everything.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Liam: Any line from the song Twilight by Elliott Smith, just a very beautiful song.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Berry: My one song would be Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles.
