Since the Apple Watch was released in 2015, users have been familiar with the problem: the computer watch lasts a maximum of one working day, while the current Series 10 model lasts up to 18 hours according to Apple. If you need more juice, you can now literally strap on an additional battery for the Apple Watch. This is sold in different variants via Amazon, among others. The 1200 mAh power bank for the Apple Watch currently available there doesn't look very dignified, but it should do the job.

1200 mAh is more than three times the capacity of the Apple Watch Series 10 itself (327 mAh), although this is a large capacity. However, it should be enough to charge the Apple Watch at least twice. This would promise a total usage time of up to three days. Whether this is really the case in practice remains to be seen. Not everyone will like the look of the Power Bank. It is a combination of a magnetic holder for the Apple Watch itself, which therefore has a little more height, plus the actual battery section to the left of it. This makes the whole structure look very bulky.

There is also a power button and a battery indicator with three colors (green/100-60 percent, yellow/59-11 percent, red/under 10 percent). Charging takes place via a USB-C cable.

If you don't want to wear the Power Bank on your wrist, you can also use it as a charger when you're out and about – This works with or without the Apple Watch strap. The Apple Watch battery is available from Amazon in two colors: Midnight and Polar Star, based on the Apple Watches of the same name. There are three variants in total: One for 44/45/46 mm watches, one for 40/41/42 mm watches and a 49 mm variant for the Apple Watch Ultra and Ultra 2. The price is just under 30 euros, although there is currently a discount of around 25 percent.

As with such rather strange gadgets from China, official approval from Apple is not to be expected, so use at your own risk. Incidentally, the computer watch's sensors should continue to work: There are holes in the lower section for this purpose. However, it is unclear whether this will reliably measure heart rate or blood oxygen levels, for example. According to the manufacturer, the power bank has a quick-charging function, so you can simply remove it when the watch has enough juice again.
