La Laguna Tenerife (Liga Endesa) agreed terms with 29-year old American shooting guard Wesley Van Beck (193cm-86kg-1996, college: Houston) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Petkim in the Turkish BSL league. In 29 games, he had 14.8ppg, 2.6rpg, 3.9apg, and 1.3spg. He also played 18 games in the Basketball Champions League, where he recorded 12.2ppg, 2.7rpg, and 2.4apg. The previous (2024) summer, he played at Forever Coogs (Houston) in the U.S. semi-pro league The Basketball Tournament.
Van Beck is a highly experienced player. His career has taken him to three continents, playing in six countries. He has played professionally in Colombia (Tigrillos), Estonia (Kalev/Cramo), Germany (Chemnitz), NBA G League (South Bay Lakers), and Spain (Palma Fibwi). Van Beck has experienced life as a pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America, and North America.
His team won the FIBA Europe Cup in 2024.
He graduated from the University of Houston in 2018 and it'll be his 8th season as a pro player.
