Basketball Champions League 2024-25 Team of the Quarter-Finals Announced

The Basketball Champions League has announced the Team of the Quarter-Finals, recognizing outstanding performances from the elite eight phase of the competition. The selected players are Marcelinho Huertas and Giorgi Shermadini from La Laguna Tenerife, Will Cummings from Galatasaray, Hunter Hale from AEK Betsson BC, and Tyson Perez from Unicaja.
Marcelinho Huertas' exceptional play, marked by 21.0 points and 11.0 assists per game, was crucial in La Laguna Tenerife's 2-0 series victory over Bertram Derthona Basket, maintaining their perfect record.
Will Cummings delivered a career-high 33 points for Galatasaray in a critical game against ERA Nymburk in Czechia, securing home-court advantage. He followed up with 17 points to close the series at home.
Hunter Hale totaled 62 points in three games against Nanterre 92, making 13 three-pointers and propelling AEK Betsson BC to the Final Four.
Tyson Perez's energy and contributions on both offense and defense in his two appearances against Pallacanestro Reggiana earned him a spot on the team. He accumulated 23 efficiency points in just 24 minutes of play.
Giorgi Shermadini scored 42 points in two games against Derthona, shooting 17-of-20 from the field and grabbing 14 rebounds, showcasing his best basketball of the season for Tenerife. Shermadini was also named player of the week for the Quarterfinals.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Quarter-Finals will be announced on Saturday. Other players who have received MVP nods this season include Gytis Radzevicius (Regular Season MVP for Rytas), Will Cummings (Play-Ins MVP for Galatasaray), and James Palmer Jr. (Round of 16 MVP for Galatasaray).
The Semifinals will feature Tenerife against Galata and AEK against Unicaja and will be held between May 9 and 11 at the Sunel Arena.
