Baby John OTT Release Update: Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh’s latest cinematic outing has been available to watch on rent online but subscribed users have been awaiting a free streaming. Released on 25th December 2024, this actioner saw an unfortunate run of just 20 days in the theatres. Watch Baby John for free only on Prime Video starting February 20th, as reported by Hindustan Times.

John D’Silva (Varun Dhawan), a devoted single father and bakery owner, has spent years hiding his dangerous past as DCP Satya Verma, a fearless cop, to protect his daughter, Khushi (Zara Zyanna). His secret is spilt when Khushi's teacher, Tara (Wamiqa Gabbi), unknowingly exposes his identity after rescuing a trafficked girl and bringing her to the police station in John’s van.

With his past revealed John finds himself face-to-face with Nana (Jackie Shroff), a ruthless criminal seeking revenge for the death of his son. As Khushi's life is put in jeopardy, John is forced to confront his past and do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Baby John is an official remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil thriller Theri.

The Times of India rated the film 2.5 out of 5 and a part of their review read, “Throughout its runtime of two hours and forty-one minutes, the tracks of John's past and present-day struggles don't always feel cohesive, affecting the movie's overall engagement. The movie has its moments as an actioner, but in terms of content and narrative, it could have been more impactful.”

Baby John also stars Rajpal Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Zakir Hussain, Prakash Belawadi, Armaan Khera, Shrikant Yadav, Besant Ravi, B. S. Avinash, Resh Lamba, Sadanand Patil and Jaideep Ahlawat among others. It is directed by Kalees and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Murad Khetani, Atlee and Priya Atlee under the banner of Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films and A for Apple Studios. This Thaman musical is cinematographed by Kiran Koushik.
