Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on Friday, marking the beginning of India's largest mobility expo. The event is set to host over 100 new launches across automobiles, components, products, and technologies. The five-day expo, started from January 17, 2025 and will continue till January 22, is being held across three venues: Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi in the national capital and India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida.

He noted the expanded scale of this year’s event, with participation across three venues in the National Capital Region, surpassing last year’s 800 exhibitors and 2.5 lakh visitors.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to industry pioneers Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki, emphasising the sector's transformative growth, with the Indian auto industry expanding by nearly 12% in the past year. Modi highlighted India’s position as the world’s third-largest passenger vehicle market and fifth-largest economy, projecting unparalleled growth as India rises to the top three global economies.

Highlighting infrastructure development, Modi said INR 11 lakh crore was allocated last year to build highways and expressways, bolstered by the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan and National Logistics Policy, reducing logistics costs and boosting vehicle demand.

He reiterated his "Seven Cs for mobility solutions" vision: Common, Connected, Convenient, Congestion-free, Charged, Clean, and Cutting-edge. Modi underlined the success of the FAME-2 scheme, which subsidised over 16 lakh EVs, and announced the new PM E-Drive scheme, supporting 28 lakh EVs, 14,000 buses, and 70,000 fast chargers, solidifying India’s focus on green mobility.

The Expo was inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam in the presence of prominent leaders, including, Union Ministers Nitin Gadkari, H D Kumaraswamy, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Manohar Lal, Piyush Goyal, and Hardeep Singh Puri. Many industry leaders, key figures from the global and Indian automotive sectors also attended the expo.

The Components Show will be held from January 18–21, 2025, at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, is a key highlight of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Featuring participation from seven countries and five dedicated country pavilions, the event showcases global collaboration in the automotive sector. With over 60 new product and technology launches, the show underscores advancements in components, innovations, and cutting-edge solutions, further cementing India’s position as a global mobility hub.

The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 reflects India's commitment to becoming a global mobility leader. It unites the entire value chain under one umbrella and emphasises sustainable development, innovation, and collaboration in the automotive industry.

With support from 15 ministries, state governments, and global industry bodies, the expo is poised to redefine India's position in the global mobility ecosystem.
