Atlanta Hawks: A look at the past 13th, 22nd overall NBA draft picks
There’s a chance the club doesn’t even make those selections, though. Onsi Saleh and whoever is hired as the Hawks next President of Basketball Operations will have those two first-rounders and a slew of young, talented players to potentially package for a star to pair with Trae Young.
Of course, that executive could choose to make those selections, which would hopefully turn into contributors. That’s not easy to do outside of the top 10 picks; however, there have been a slew of notable players recently taken 13th and 17th overall.
Those are some pretty great mid-round picks, huh?! If the Hawks even came away with one of those 11 picks, it would be a home run. Of course, there are many other 13th and 22nd picks that flame out like Chris Duarte, Kira Lewis Jr, Georgios Papagiannis, and Kendall Marshall, who were all taken 13th, but there’s a chance for the Atlanta Hawks to come away with multiple impact players in this year’s first round.
