Armada Music signs D.O.D to long-term recordings deal | Labels | Music Week
Armada Music has signed Manchester-born British DJ and producer D.O.D to a long-term recordings deal.
“This milestone marks a new chapter in the longstanding relationship between Armada Music and D.O.D, whose sound draws heavily from the 90s and 00s dance music coming out of the North of England,” said a statement.
Armada has helped establish D.O.D (real name Dan O’Donnell) as a breakthrough star, including his first UK Top 20 hit, So Much In Love. Previous successes with the label include the Beatport Top 10 hit Set Me Free and Every Step, both contributing to over 500 million streams in D.O.D’s catalogue with the label.
“D.O.D is a true success story of the UK music scene, and we’re incredibly proud to deepen our relationship with him,” said Maykel Piron, CEO and co-founder of Armada Music. “By leveraging our global infrastructure we aim to amplify his presence not only in the UK but also across the US and beyond.”

This announcement follows D.O.D’s biggest year to date, which included sold-out tours of the UK, North America and Australia, and hits including the BRIT-nominated Somedays with Sonny Fodera and Jazzy.
It also coincides with the release of new single Wrap Yourself Around Me featuring North.
“Extending my deal with Armada was an easy decision,” said D.O.D. “Their belief in my music and their vision for where we can go together is exciting, and they’ve proved themselves as a valuable partner. I’m excited to grow with the support of a label that understands and advocates for dance music on a global scale.”
Dan Stacey, CEO and founder of management company Loving Alliance, said: “Armada truly are led by their passion and dedication to dance music. That, coupled with the success we’ve achieved together, it was an easy decision for us to continue that work and to keep pushing things forward for D.O.D.”
In addition to the new exclusive recording agreement, Armada Music Group will continue to publish D.O.D under an existing arrangement via its publishing arm, Armada Music Publishing.
