Arizona State Loses Four-Star High School Basketball Commit

On Friday morning, and the Arizona State Sun Devils lost a committed high school prospect in the Class of 2025, four-star center .

Curtis, a 7-foot-1 center from Iceland, committed to the Sun Devils in January over offers from multiple big-time programs.

 

Coming out of CATS Academy in the Class of 2025, Curtis was listed as a four-star prospect by the On3Index at the time of his commitment. He checked in as the nation’s 70th-ranked recruit and the 10th-ranked player at his position.

Curtis chose the Sun Devils over programs like Alabama, Creighton, Indiana, Stanford, UCF, Xavier, West Virginia, and more.

“ASU did a good job recruiting me,” Curtis said on his initial commitment. “I believe their style fits how I play, and I can see myself playing when I watch them. I think it’s a really good program, and I like the facilities and the campus.”

Unfortunately for ASU, the Sun Devils will have to look elsewhere for incoming talent as the Icelandic center reopens his recruitment. Their class now features four incoming freshmen with , , Kash Polk, and Trevor Best.
