Ariana Grande had a big fashion night at the 2025 Oscars. From the moment she stepped out on the Oscars red carpet in a very Glinda-coded Schiaparelli dress to the ruby slipper-inspired Schiaparelli dress she wore for her tear-jerking Wicked medley with co-star Cynthia Erivo, Grande appeared to pay homage to her character in the Wizard of Oz prequel. However, eagle-eyed viewers also noticed that the multi-hyphenate had a secret third outfit change sometime towards the end of the show–and the black sheer mini dress looked nothing like her earlier outfits.

As Queen Latifah paid tribute to the late music icon Quincy Jones with a performance of “Ease on Down the Road" from The Wiz, Grande, Erivo, and Colman Domingo were some of the stars that could be seen dancing in the audience. As the camera panned to the “Thank U, Next” singer, Grande, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the Good Witch, could be seen wearing a sheer black mini dress that was covered in sparkling black beads.

The flirty LBD featured a plunging neckline that dipped down in front and was accentuated with black strings that were laced up in an intricate pattern on her décolletage and around her neck.

It’s unknown whether the former Disney star changed her look for an Oscars after-party or other plans, but she appeared to keep her glam look the same as she was spotted chatting with boyfriend Ethan Slater and Kieran Culkin. She wore the same slicked-back ballerina bun from earlier in the night, and stuck with her signature liquid black eyeliner and nude lip combo. Grande accessorized by swapping out her diamond studs for more intricate diamond cuff earrings, and added a flower-inspired ring on her pointer finger.
