"It's terrible, I tell you, I wash cars and the heat won't go away no matter how many cars I wash, it's impressive. You get wet while washing cars, you go and you take a shower, I shower like three or four times a day, and sometimes more. But it's the same, you step out into the sun and your body gets dry."

"In what remains of this summer, long-term forecasts are not very encouraging because they continue to predict that we are going to have a season of temperatures from normal to higher than normal in practically the entire territory of Argentina. And as for the rains, it is expected that they continue to be relatively scarce, especially in what is the coastal area and the Pampean region. And not so in the provinces of the northwest of our country."

Residents and tourists alike struggled to cope with the oppressive heat, with many seeking shade and water to stay cool. Forecasters predicted continued above-normal temperatures and scarce rainfall, particularly affecting central and northern areas.

According to Greenpeace, the ongoing heatwave underscores the broader climate challenges facing Argentina, as global warming trends exacerbate weather extremes.
