Apartment fire reported in Ahwatukee Foothills

Firefighters responded to an apartment fire in Ahwatukee Foothills on Saturday afternoon.

The fire, which occurred at an apartment building near 48th Street and Warner Road, drew a response from firefighters from multiple cities, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Firefighters successfully put out the fire by just after 4 p.m., and the Phoenix Fire Department Community Assistance Program was dispatched "to assist with the affected families," according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Details about whether the fire resulted in injuries, or what caused the fire, were not immediately released.
