Andre Onana has commented on his future at Man United while on holiday in his native Cameroon. The goalkeeper just wrapped up his second season at Manchester United, and it wasn't a great one.

His team finished 15th in the Premier League, their worst finish in 51 years and suffered a painful defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.

Onana’s performances were subpar. For example, his errors contributed to Olympique Lyon scoring two goals, and a former player even labelled him the "worst goalkeeper".

Speaking to reporters in Cameroon, he was asked about his future, and he gave a telling answer.

"Will I leave? I don't know, we'll see!" he said via AllezLesLions.

Onana joined Manchester United in 2023, with his contract set to expire in 2028. However, his first two seasons at the club have been marred by numerous mistakes, leaving some fans increasingly frustrated.

Pundits have criticised Onana's shot-stopping abilities and overall performance as a goalkeeper.

His mistake against Lyon led to his coach, Ruben Amorim, dropping him from the lineup, prompting questions about whether he would consider bringing in a new goalkeeper.

“We are going to make that evaluation for any position in the squad,” he said via the Guardian. “You can see my record [too] – my record is the worst in the team. I am also underperforming. We need to improve. We cannot change all the players.

The club is reportedly aiming to sign a new goalkeeper, with Marcin Bulka of Nice and Senne Lammens the top names linked. It remains to be seen if a goalkeeper will be bought in to challenge the Cameroonian.

@Tweeterpurg:

"He seems like a genuinely decent guy. Just not a good enough keeper for ManU."

@Smokyy_007:

"Please don't make us watch you again, Onana. Just leave and be rid of this constant pressure."

@LiamPaulCanning:

"If Manchester United go into next season with Onana and Hojlund still part of it, there’s virtually no point. Been a horror show all season."

@MinaFootball:

"Onana needs to go. He needs to be put on the transfer list IMMEDIATELY."

Earlier, reported that Man United were eying Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka, but a deal would be difficult.

Both clubs are banned from conducting business due to their shared ownership by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

They cannot do business until September, but reports claim the Red Devils could sign him in January before his deal expires.
