Nasarawa United’s forward, Anan Yusuf is set to be officially crowned the top scorer of the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season and will receive a cash reward of N3.6 million, courtesy of Eunisell, West Africa’s leading speciality chemicals and oilfield solutions firm.

Yusuf netted 18 goals to top the NPFL scoring chart and earn the prestigious Eunisell Boot Award, which places a N200,000 value on each goal scored.

The award ceremony will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in GRA Ikeja, Lagos.

Since its launch in 2018, the Eunisell Boot has grown into one of Nigerian football’s most prestigious individual honours. It not only celebrates outstanding goal scorers but also aims to elevate the profile of players in the domestic league.

Past recipients include standout names like Junior Lokosa, Sunusi Ibrahim, Mfon Udoh, Israel Abia, and Chijioke Akuneto.

Yusuf becomes the second Nasarawa United player, after Sunusi Ibrahim in 2019, to claim the accolade—highlighting the club’s tradition of nurturing prolific attackers. Group Managing Director of Eunisell, Chika Ikenga, commended Yusuf’s efforts and reaffirmed the company’s continued investment in Nigerian football.

“At Eunisell, we reward hard work, excellence, and talent. The Eunisell Boot is not just a trophy, it’s a symbol of belief in Nigerian football,” Ikenga said.

“Celebrating Anas Yusuf’s 18 goals shows what’s possible when potential is nurtured.”

This year’s award holds special meaning as Eunisell celebrates 10 years of supporting Nigerian football, including its long-standing sponsorship of Abia Warriors since 2015.

“We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of impact in the Nigerian game. Recognizing players like Yusuf shows our belief in the future of local football,” Ikenga added.

Yusuf’s impressive season has earned him widespread acclaim for his consistency, sharp finishing, and tireless work rate—drawing interest from scouts both at home and abroad.
