singer, Amarachi Joy, has opened up about how her song, Favour Room, catapulted her to prominence in the gospel music scene.

Speaking in a statement shared with Sunday Scoop, Amarachi, who began her music career officially in 2006, revealed that the hit track was born out of personal experience and divine revelation. According to her, the song resonated widely because of its message of hope, especially for women facing the challenges of childbirth.

“When I sang Favour Room, I was pregnant with my first child. The inspiration came from a place of deep reflection. I believe no woman deserves to lose her life or her child during childbirth. That song turned the idea of a ‘Labour Room’ into a ‘Favour Room’ and touched many lives. It was divine—and it brought me into the limelight,” she said.

Speaking on her new single titled, God of the Prophet, the singer said, “Many people have asked me how I came up with the song. It wasn’t by my own doing; it came from a revelation. I often receive songs through dreams, during prayers, and sometimes by hearing voices. These are not just songs; they are spiritual experiences,” she said.
