Looking to inspire and birth a new generation of leaders, leadership coach and human capacity development strategist, Amaka Mordi, has launched two new books in Lagos.

Focused on personal and leadership transformation, she also formally unveiled her coaching and empowerment brand, Coach Amarak.

The event, which took place over the weekend, marked a significant step in her efforts to equip individuals with tools for authentic leadership and intentional living.

Her first book, Unravel the Leader in You: Practical Steps to Getting Started in Leadership, is positioned as a practical guide for individuals seeking to unlock their leadership potential. Mordi described the work as a call to action for those questioning their capacity to lead, noting that leadership is not tied to position but begins with inner clarity and confidence.

She said, “This book is an invitation to peel back the layers of self-doubt, fear and insecurity to discover the leader that has always been inside you. It is practical, honest and deeply personal.”

The second book, The Cogitations of Amarak (volume one), departs from the usual instructional format and instead, offers a poetic and reflective journey into themes such as identity, love, growth and faith.

According to Mordi, the collection is designed to provoke introspection and stir the reader’s inner life. “It’s not a loud book but a gentle yet bold voice that speaks to places in you that you have ignored for too long,” she said.

The event was well attended by guests and dignitaries, cutting across professional colleagues, clergy, friends and family, some of who shared fond memories of how Mordi has touched their lives over the years.

Alongside the book launch, she also introduced The Coach Amarak brand, which she described as a platform focused on unlocking human potential, restoring emotional well-being and promoting transformational leadership.

This, she said, is designed to support men and women in finding their voice, healing from personal setbacks and leading with authenticity. “This brand is not just about coaching. It’s a movement. It’s about helping people rewrite their future by confronting their story,” she explained.

Coach Amarak stressed that the books and the brand are a product of years of her own personal journey marked by perseverance, clarity and transformation. She noted further that the work behind the launch reflects years of growth and is aimed at encouraging others to rise above fear and discover their true purpose.
