The 22-year-old United prospect has expressed his frustration after suffering the injury which will keep him off the pitch for an extended period.

Diallo posted a heartfelt message on social media stating that he was extremely disappointed with this injury, clarifying that he will be out for some time with an injury.

He also promised to return stronger and support his teammates from the sidelines.

"Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season. Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside," Diallo stated on his X account

Manchester United have a challenging run of fixtures ahead, starting with a crucial away clash against Tottenham Hotspur on February 16, 2025.

Just a week later, they visit Everton at Goodison Park on February 22, though this match could be moved to February 23 depending on their Europa League commitments

As per the Premier League website, the 22-year-old Ivorian international who joined the Red Devils in January 2021 from Serie A giants Atalanta, has been a standout performer for the club during the 2024/2025 Premier League season.

Before his recent injury, the Ivorian star was United's top Premier League scorer, netting six goals in 22 matches, with five of those appearances coming off the bench.

The team's midfield has been severely affected, with Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer all sidelined due to injuries.

This situation has compelled manager Rúben Amorim to rely on the experienced duo of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, whose combined age has raised concerns about their ability to manage the midfield effectively.

Additionally, United's defensive struggles continue, with Lisandro Martínez ruled out for the rest season after suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury on February 2, 2025.

The situation is further compounded by the absences of Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans, leaving the squad short on reliable options at the back.

had earlier reported on how United die-hard fans reacted to Diallo's injury during a training season.

Manchester United fans were left devastated as Diallo’s injury added to the team’s growing list of sidelined players, further compounding their squad’s injury setbacks.
