All the best looks from the Cannes Film Festival 2025 red carpet

Published 4 days ago2 minute read

Every spring, the Cannes Film Festival transforms the French Riviera into a spectacle of cinema, culture, and impeccable fashion. And beyond the premieres and standing ovations that the weeks-long festival will surely deliver, it's the red carpet that truly captures the world's attention. Something of a global runway, each year, Cannes brings together Hollywood stars and international icons for a series of unforgettable style moments, each one set against the picturesque backdrop of the French Riviera.

The 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival (which runs from May 13–24) is shaping up to be no exception. This year, the festival is showcasing a diverse array of films, from the directorial debuts by Scarlett Johansson (Eleanor the Great), Harris Dickinson (Urchin) and Kristen Stewart (The Chronology of Water), to Wes Anderson's long-awaited The Phoenician Scheme, and Ari Aster's Eddington. And of course, big films necessitate big guest lists. Josh O'Connor, Alana Haim, Margaret Qualley, Aubrey Plaza, Jennifer Lawrence, and Robert Pattinson are among the celebs starring in films set to debut at the festival, meaning they'll (hopefully) be gracing us with not only their presence, but also their sartorial sensibilities, at some point or another.

When the opening credits roll it's the screen we'll have our eyes trained to, but until then, we'll be soaking in the spectacle of the red carpet that comes before. Below, we're bringing you every standout fashion moment from the Cannes Film Festival 2025 red carpet, as it happens.
