The BBC, which is publicly funded by the UK government, is currently reducing staff numbers.

A month ago, reports emerged that the broadcaster was reviewing the contracts of its Ugandan journalists, including Kasujja and Paul Bakibinga.

The BBC plans to cut 500 jobs by March 2026.

Kasujja began his media career in the 1990s at Sanyu FM.

He later became a household name in Uganda through his work on television and radio.

He co-hosted The Big Breakfast on Kampala's 91.3 Capital FM with Jackie Lumbasi and Ramesh Gabalsing, and has presented the Ugandan edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? since 2011.

He also fronted The Fourth Estate, a well-known political talk show.

On January 15, 2016, Kasujja co-moderated Uganda’s first-ever televised presidential debate alongside KTN journalist Nancy Kacungira.
