The intense historical courtroom drama, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, will hit Telugu screens on May 23. The film is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and is rated A for its serious and emotional content.
The movie is based on the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre and highlights a powerful legal fight for justice during British rule. The Telugu release was announced by Asian Suresh Entertainment. Kesari: Chapter 2 tells the story of a significant but lesser-known part of India’s freedom struggle. The story is around Chettur Sankaran Nair, a brave lawyer played by Akshay Kumar, who took the British Empire to court to reveal the truth about the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. His fight for justice became a landmark moment in Indian history.
The film is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu and Pushpa Palat. R. Madhavan plays advocate Neville McKinley, while Ananya Panday stars as Dilreet Gill. With its powerful storytelling and strong performances, Kesari: Chapter 2 is now all set to connect with Telugu-speaking audiences.
