A catastrophic tragedy struck on Thursday afternoon when an Air India flight bound for London crashed moments after takeoff from Ahmedabad airport. The Boeing was carrying 232 passengers, including two infants and 10 crew members, and went down near a residential area after facing 'severe technical glitch', causing massive destruction.

The aircraft crashed into the BJ Medical College and Hospital, resulting in more casualties. Heavy smoke was visible from Dharpur near the Meghaninagar area in Ahmedabad. The fire brigade was to the spot, and emergency response teams were being mobilised. Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the crash.
