Air France Summer 2025: More Flights, New Routes, and Premium Cabins - Focus on Travel News
Air France summer 2025 plans are taking off with more destinations, additional capacity, and the launch of a brand-new La Première suite. From new long-haul routes to elevated passenger experiences, the airline’s updated schedule reflects its ambition to be a global leader in both comfort and connectivity.
During the April to October summer schedule, Air France will operate up to 900 flights per day, reaching nearly 190 destinations across 74 countries. The long-haul network alone will serve 87 destinations, marking a 4% capacity increase compared to summer 2024.
Among the most anticipated new routes are two direct flights from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Starting May 19, passengers can travel to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with up to five weekly flights operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Just two days later, on May 21, a new route to Orlando, Florida, will launch, offering four weekly flights with the same aircraft model. These additions highlight Air France’s growing interest in both Middle Eastern and North American markets.
Additional long-haul network changes further enhance Air France’s transatlantic and global reach. A seventh daily flight will be added between Paris and New York JFK, five of which will feature the airline’s newly designed La Première cabin. The Paris–Phoenix route, introduced in 2024, will expand to five weekly flights. Service to French Polynesia via Los Angeles will now run daily, offering more flexibility for travelers heading to the South Pacific.
As part of its ongoing partnership with the Cannes Film Festival, Air France will again operate direct Los Angeles–Nice flights between May 12 and May 26, catering to the film industry and travelers seeking premium access to the French Riviera.
In South America and the Caribbean, the Paris–Salvador de Bahia route will continue into the summer with three weekly flights on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft. Flights to Lima, Santiago de Chile, and Rio de Janeiro will increase, and up to eight weekly flights are scheduled between Paris and Saint Martin using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
In Africa, the winter-launched route from Paris to Zanzibar and Kilimanjaro will extend into summer, with up to three weekly flights. Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo will receive three additional flights per week, bringing the total to ten. Nairobi service will switch to the larger Airbus A350-900 aircraft, replacing the previous Boeing 787-9, thereby boosting capacity.
Asia continues to play a role in Air France’s expansion strategy. The route to Manila, launched in winter 2024, will extend into the summer with three weekly A350-900 flights. This allows travelers easier access to the Philippines with enhanced comfort.
One of the season’s most luxurious upgrades is the rollout of Air France’s redesigned La Première suite. Officially unveiled on March 18, 2025, the suite offers a fully modular layout with a reclining seat, chaise longue, and full flatbed, stretching across five windows. This new standard in premium travel will debut on select flights to New York JFK in the spring, followed by routes to Los Angeles, Singapore, and Tokyo-Haneda during the summer months. Air France plans to expand this cabin across more aircraft and destinations by 2026.
On the short- and medium-haul network, Air France will serve 96 destinations with up to 670 flights per day. The airline is increasing capacity to Italy by 8% and to Spain by 3%, reflecting continued demand for Mediterranean travel. An additional 29 seasonal routes will be available, including flights to Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Rhodes, Heraklion, and Dubrovnik.
Meanwhile, Transavia France, the low-cost arm of the Air France-KLM Group, will operate flights to 123 destinations in 38 countries. This includes a total of 233 routes, 26 of which are new. Transavia France remains the leading budget carrier operating from Paris-area airports.
With a global network now stronger than ever, premium cabin upgrades, and a broad summer offering of seasonal and intercontinental destinations, Air France is setting the stage for an elevated travel experience in summer 2025. Whether passengers are flying for leisure or business, short-haul or long-haul, they can expect more choice, greater comfort, and expanded access across the world.
