Air Canada has announced an extensive expansion for its winter 2025-26 flight schedule, with the introduction of 13 new routes and the addition of four new destinations across Latin America and the Caribbean. This marks the airline’s most ambitious seasonal network expansion to date, increasing its regional seat capacity by 16%. The new services are designed to provide travelers with more direct access to popular leisure destinations and emerging business hubs in these regions.

The newly launched routes are now available for booking through the airline’s website and travel agents, offering Canadians more options for both vacation and business travel.

Air Canada’s expanded network includes new services to cities such as Santiago, Pointe-à-Pitre, Fort-de-France, Nassau, Montego Bay, and Huatulco. The airline has also added new destinations, including Rio de Janeiro, Cartagena, Guatemala City, and Guadalajara, expanding its footprint across the region. With these additions, Air Canada’s total weekly seat capacity in Latin America and the Caribbean will exceed 80,000, spanning over 55 daily flights.

Noteworthy new services include three weekly flights from Toronto to Rio de Janeiro and three-weekly service between Montreal and Santiago. Additionally, new Caribbean routes from Ottawa, Halifax, and Quebec City will further enhance the airline’s connectivity to these sought-after destinations.

Air Canada is launching new non-stop flights to Rio de Janeiro from Toronto Pearson and to Santiago from Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau, both operated with the airline’s Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner fleet. These routes will cater to the growing demand from leisure travelers and business passengers alike.

The Rio de Janeiro flights will operate three times a week from December 4, 2025, to March 2026, while the Santiago service will run three times a week from December 16, 2025, to February 2026. Air Canada is also adding Cartagena to its network, offering flights from both Toronto and Montreal.

In Mexico and Central America, the airline is introducing new services from Montreal to Guatemala City and from Toronto to Guadalajara—two rapidly growing markets that cater to both leisure travelers and the visiting friends and relatives (VFR) segment.
