In a significant step toward strengthening agricultural education and practical training in Adamawa State, the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP) has officially handed over key agricultural and educational equipment to the College of Agriculture, Ganye (Gyawana Campus).

The event marked the formal transfer of assets procured and infrastructure completed under the MCRP initiative, which aims to revitalize learning environments affected by crisis and underdevelopment.

The support package includes one brand new tractor equipped with implements, office and classroom furniture, modern laboratory equipment, a newly constructed block of two classrooms, and a newly constructed block of two laboratories.

According to the State Project Coordinator of the MCRP, Dr. Maurice Vunobolki, the initiative—aligned with the 8-point agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri—is designed to enhance hands-on learning for students in agricultural sciences and related disciplines. It also contributes to regional food security and economic recovery through education.

In his remarks, the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. David Finchiwa Jatau, stated that the intervention is a testament to Governor Fintiri’s commitment to restoring and expanding access to agricultural inputs and quality education in areas impacted by crisis.

The Acting Provost of the College, Mr. Reuben Datsu, expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the transformative impact the new facilities and equipment will have on academic and practical training.

Representatives of the Numan Local Government Chairman, youth and community leaders, as well as agricultural stakeholders, attended the ceremony.
