How to access your school attendance data through the Monitor your school attendance tool.
Schools, academy trusts and local authorities can access the Monitor your school attendance tool. This is available on the View your education data (VYED) service.
The tool includes interactive dashboards and downloads for the daily attendance data your school shares with the Department for Education (DfE).

You will need to request access to VYED and the Monitor your school attendance data tool using your DfE Sign-in account.
You will need to create a DfE sign-in account first.
It will ask you to request access to your organisation. This is your school, trust or local authority.
Once you’ve sent your request, your organisations approver will get an email. They will need to approve your request before you can get access to your attendance data.
To access your school attendance data request access:
This sends an email request to your organisations approver. You should receive an email within 5 days from [email protected] confirming approval.
If there are no approvers for your organisation, your request will be sent to the DfE Sign-in team to be approved.
Once you request access, an email is sent to your organisation’s approver. You will get an email once they have approved the request. This will confirm you have access.
You can check the status of a request under the ‘Requests’ section of your DfE Sign-in account.
Before you can request access to school dashboard, you will need to add the relevant school organisation via your DfE Sign-in account. Once approved, you can request to add services for that school.
