The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, Danladi Isa, has warned that the leadership of the security agency under him would not tolerate any form of indiscipline and professional misconduct among personnel serving under the command.

Isa issued the warning while speaking at the command headquarters in Umuahia, the state capital, addressing the newly recruited Specialist Constables and indigenes of the state posted to serve in the command.

The constables, who are professionals in various fields, including driving, tailoring, information technology, medical services, welding, painting, and the police band, were urged to uphold a positive image of the police force.

The CP emphasised the importance of discipline and professionalism in their duties and warned against corruption and unprofessional conduct. He stressed that any act of indiscipline would be met with appropriate disciplinary action.

Some of the newly recruited police personnel promised to discharge their duties with a high level of professionalism and dedication during an interview.

The Nation reported that the state command recently dismissed Sergeant Jonas Nnamdi, Corporal James Daniel, and Corporal Ifeanyi Emeka after an orderly room trial found them guilty of misconduct, conspiracy, extortion, and abduction of unsuspecting victims.

The dismissal of the affected personnel has attracted wild celebration among Abians, who lauded the Commissioner of Police for his commitment to sanitize and redeem the image of the force.
