Boone teleports in front of the castle gate and tries to cast a spell to freeze the battering ram, but ends up freezing himself instead. The battering ram charges towards him, knocking him high into the flag on top of the castle, which, therefore, bounces him to where the heroes and Ryan are. Boone lands near the heroes and Ryan, breaking himself from his ice covering in the process. Penn tells the small Boone to help Boone, but he escapes by mounting on a human-faced pigeon. Boone apologizes to the team, saying he screwed up.

"A Tale of Two Wizards" is the eighth episode of the second season of Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero. It premiered on July 17, 2017.
A return to the Knight World causes issues for Boone when he meets a wizard who turns out to be much better than him.
The episode starts with Boone entering The Odyssey, telling Phyllis that Penn and Sashi didn't come with him, so he presses an alarm. Phyllis tells Boone that they are in the zap platform, so he goes there, seeing the teo there. Penn tells Boone he forgot to tell him they had a class and that it was boring. Boone tells the two they are being suspiciously vague, but as long as they weren't secretly trying to get rid of him as that would bother him so much. The heroes then get zapped in.
The heroes zap into Knight World as Sashi checks her specs to tell the mission; they have to cross a hostile countryside to prevent the evil sorcerer from breaking the castle's gate and stealing its throne. Boone finds what appears to be a big mushroom, thinking it would give him an extra life or make him big and bites it. However, it turns out to be the thumb of a giant red ogre, becoming angry at Boone biting him. Boone tries to cast a spell at the ogre, but accidentally casts a spell at his own nose, causing a small version of himself to pop out. The ogre is about to stomp the two Boones, so Penn pushes them towards a bush, dodging the stomp. Penn and Boone are about to get eaten by the ogre until a wizard riding a griffin appears and cast a spell at the ogre, getting rid of his muscles. The wizard, named Ryan, then gives him a gym membership so he can build back his muscles but on a healthy diet.
Ryan tells Penn and Sashi that it is dangerous to go without a wizard, so Penn tells him they do have one as Boone and his small copy to appear with their beards tangled together. Penn tells Ryan he can join them in their mission if he isn't part of a team, so Ryan tells him he just got out of a team because they took long in their quests, so he joins them. Ryan and the heroes mount on the griffin to go to the castle, but Boone and his small copy sneeze, saying they must be allergic to griffins. Ryan asks Penn if it's necessary to bring Boone in their quest, so he responds him yes, so Ryan tells they have to walk their way to the castle.
Meanwhile, outside the castle, Rippen tells Larry to unleash the Battering Ram Of Doom, so he responds him as soon as they finish building it. Rippen then sees the goblins opening a big crate containing the battering ram's pieces, annoying Rippen. The goblins then start building the battering ram.
The team come across a river that they have to cross, so Boone summons a canoe made of sugar, but it shortly disintegrates into the water. Ryan casts a spell that parts the river, allowing him and the heroes to cross. The small Boone tells Boone that Ryan may take his spot on the team, so Boone responds him saying he will keep his wizard role just to be safe. Meanwhile, Rippen sees the battering ram, which has been incorrectly assembled, and compares it to its picture in the instruction, saying something is off.

- The part where Boone says he will get an extra life or grow big after seeing the mushrooms is a reference to Super Mario Bros.
- Ryan's complaints about a "fellowship" with three missions lasting "9 hours" is a direct reference to criticism of The Hobbit series of movies by Peter Jackson - the idea that the original books was stretched out to 3 movies (lasting 9 hours) when it could have been accomplished in two.
