Four individuals are reported to be fighting for their lives after a commercial bus, commonly known as a trotro, suffered a brake failure, veered off the road, and crashed into traders at the Dr. Mensah Station in Kumasi.

The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

The victims, all traders operating along the roadside, were struck by the out-of-control vehicle, which lost its brakes and plowed into their stalls.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of chaos as bystanders rushed to pull the injured from the wreckage before emergency services arrived at the scene.

The injured were quickly transported to the Manhyia Government Hospital, where they received medical treatment. Their conditions remain critical as medical personnel work to stabilise them.
