9 injured in collision involving taxi, private car near Hong Kong Disneyland | South China Morning Post

Nine people, including a one-year-old girl, were injured after a taxi and a private car collided near Hong Kong Disneyland on Lantau Island on Saturday.

The incident occurred at an intersection on Magic Road at 2.21pm, when the driver of the Kowloon-bound private car attempted to make a right turn at a junction before hitting the taxi, which was en route to a hotel along the road, police said.

All nine people sustained minor injuries and were sent to North Lantau Hospital for treatment, the force added.

Five people, aged between 1 and 59, in the taxi were injured.

The 59-year-old driver, surnamed Ma, reported experiencing head pain.

His four passengers, believed to be a group of foreigners, were also hurt. They included a 43-year-old woman who suffered from neck pain, a 19-year-old woman with a headache, a 10-year-old boy with a thigh injury, and a one-year-old girl. The toddler’s injuries were not disclosed.
