3 years of Major EXCLUSIVE: Adivi Sesh reveals, "Major has changed me forever as a person"

Major remains an iconic film from Adivi Sesh’s filmography. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and also starring Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj and Revathi, the film was based on the martyr Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who laid down his life for the country during the infamous 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. Major completed three years last month.

Sharing how important the film has been in his career, Adivi Sesh told exclusively, “I think Major has changed me forever as a person. It made me a better human being overall. I’m more empathetic and more tolerant of other people’s mistakes in social situations or in relationships. Work wise, it’s turned me into somebody who works even harder and someone who’s even less tolerant of ill-discipline. So, it has simultaneously made me kinder and hard working.”

He added, “Plus, my entire focus in life has shifted towards wanting to be a voice for the voiceless as much as possible, meaning children and animals.”

Adivi played a cameo in HIT: The Third Case earlier this year. But his last full-fledged role was in HIT: The Second Case, which released in 2022. When asked whether he feels the pressure of being seen regularly on the big screen, he said, “I definitely do but I’d rather be seen in something good than something that just fills the time until the next movie to watch. I’ve been hard at work these last couple of years bringing Dacoit and G2 (Goodachari 2) to fruition.”

The announcement video of Dacoit was released at the end of May. It sparked excitement for the film and also for the new pair of Adivi and Mrunal Thakur.
