The sudden heel turn of John Cena has accentuated clear sides for

in the run for the Championship and has also opened up speculations about the return of iconic superstars.
At the Elimination Chamber, the tectonic plates shifted, with John Cena suddenly flipping on

Cody Rhodes

. A low blow from him left the American Nightmare helpless, and what followed thereafter was a beatdown from The Rock, Travis Scot,t and John Cena.
Now going by the history of the Showcase of Immortals, the build-up to the final rivalry has always been more epic than the night of glory. Similarly, the speculations of how the storyline for John Cena and Cody Rhodes might pan out is simmering with possibilities of the craziest outcomes.

With The Rock still looming large, it is also going to be interesting to see how The Rock hardens himself in the story. However, now, with every root of the tale that can be told and with three of the biggest faces in the arc included, there are possibilities of many others returning to the fold with this massive storyline.

1) Solo Sikoa

Sikoa has always been strong on The Rock’s side of the Bloodline and ever since Roman Reigns was defeated, he has been leading a faction of his own. Also, his recent embers of discontent against Jacob Fatu, where misunderstandings have prevailed, don’t bear well for him. His loss to Roman Reigns has placed him in crossroads of the Samoan Werewolf and as a mark of loyalty to The Rock and in an eternal rivalry with Rhodes, he can be a big name to be on the side of Cena.
2) The Rock

The Rock may have been on the sidelines of it all and yet his official confirmation in the match between Cena and Cody hasn’t been announced. However, it goes without saying that he will definitely like to be a part of the Show of Shows in someway or the other. If not an opponent, The Final Boss will be keen on pulling the strings again, thereby trying to harm the American Nightmare in all ways possible.
3) Seth Rollins

Now, this is a dicey name to be around, but Seth Rollins has already started to turn into a heel. With his rivalry going all guns blazing against

CM Punk

, Rollins might be seen on the side of Cena, with Punk mentioning the name of The Rock in the promo. However, his presence in the storyline will depend on whether The Second City Saint makes his appearance at the other end. There is a feeling that with Rollins playing the literal version of Cody Rhodes’ shield in the last WrestleMania, he might be the villain in the upcoming edition of the Grandest shows of them all, underlining how Rhodes didn’t value his self-sacrifice last year.

1) Stone Cold Steve Austin

Speaking on a podcast recently, the Texas Rattlesnake has already mentioned that anything can happen. Knowing the long line of rivals that The Rock has made over the years, SCSA is the biggest of them all. When it comes to the biggest show of all, the fans would go bonkers if there was Austin duking it out one more time against the Final Boss.
2) CM Punk

Punk has already lost his shot at winning the Elimination Chamber, and that was because of The Rock’s and Seth Rollins’s interference. In his scathing promo on WWE Raw on the following night, he tore into the Brahma Bull, calling him a ‘bald fraud’ and also went after Seth Rollins. To avenge his earlier defeat in the Elimination Chamber, he might gang up with the American Nightmare.
3) Roman Reigns

No matter the fact that it is John Cena versus Cody Rhodes, at the end of the day, till the time The Rock is involved, it is a clash of the Bloodline. Whenever the Bloodline is being mentioned, how can one talk about it without mentioning Roman Reigns? Ever since the loss to Cody in WrestleMania 40, The Rock and Roman didn’t go as smoothly as the Final Boss would have wanted. With the love that Reigns now has for himself, if WWE does get him to spear the Big Boss, it would have a roar following from the WWE Universe.
