The list of visa free countries for Indians has grown a little bit longer since 2024, and we couldn't be happier. No concrete plans and hoping for a last-minute getaway? A spanner in the works is usually visas, with long waiting times—stretching into weeks, in some cases. Luckily, there are a whole host of countries that Indians can travel to without a visa.

The catch, however, is that many of these are not easy to get to—some of them require spending what could feel like a lifetime on a connecting flight. But to help carve out your plans, here’s a list of visa-free countries for Indian passport holders, and the validity period of the stay there.

Some countries still require you to obtain a permit at the point of entry, and it's important that you don’t overstay your visa-free stay period in the country. Here are the countries Indian passport holders can travel to without a visa:

Visa rule: The Royal Thai Government has extended its Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme for Indian nationals indefinitely. Indians can now enjoy a visa-free entry and travel in Thailand for up to 60 days. However, all visa-exempt travellers will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before travelling to Thailand. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has outlined a timeline for its rollout, beginning with a pilot phase and resulting in full integration with Thailand’s e-Visa services by June 2025.
