Sandy Paws Rescue Inc., a dedicated foster-based dog rescue in Massachusetts, recently shared that Coco, a sweet six-year-old Shih Tzu and Poodle mix weighing 25 pounds, is still looking for his forever family. Coco’s rescue story started with a bittersweet transition when his previous owner, unfortunately, entered hospice care. In addition to finding himself in need of a new home, Coco’s fur was severely matted at that time. Luckily, Sandy Paw Rescue Inc. was there to give him the shave he needed and connected him with a loving foster home. According to the Rescue, it has now been over a month, and “Coco is still waiting for an application!”

At the Attleboro Animal Shelter, a special feline resident is waiting for the right person to give her a chance. Meet Brook, a petite 2-year-old orange, white, and black cat, who is patiently waiting for her forever home. Despite her current timidity, the Friends of the Attleboro Animal Shelter see tremendous promise in Brook. "Our sweet Brook is scared and timid right now, but we know with time she will grow," the shelter shares. Her journey hasn't been straightforward, as she was recently returned to the shelter after a placement that wasn't the right fit, a reminder that matching pets with homes is a delicate process. "It was just NOT the right fit & it happens," explains the local animal shelter.
