Brothers Zac and Dylan Efron recently showcased their summer adventures, enjoying a sun-drenched outing at a lake and sharing glimpses of their fun on social media. The "High School Musical" star, Zac, 37, posted a carousel of photos on Tuesday, July 1, featuring himself shirtless behind the wheel of a boat, wakesurfing on the water, and drying off with a blue towel. One sweet moment captured him and his younger brother, Dylan, 33, sitting on a dock and later enjoying a sunset video where they traded and tried on cowboy hats.
Dylan, the "Traitors" star, had shared his recap a day earlier, on Monday, June 30. His Instagram video, set to Briscoe’s “Easy Does It,” posed the question, “Describe summer in one word,” to which he simply answered “This.” The footage highlighted the brothers taking turns leaping into the water from a dock while wearing just swimming trunks, with Dylan even playfully tossing his longtime girlfriend, Courtney King, into the water. The couple, high school sweethearts, have been romantically linked since at least October 2016. In between their jumps, both brothers were seen relaxing and lying out in the sun, with Dylan noting the brand Vuori in his post.
While the brothers frequently enjoy time together by the water, Dylan has a notable history with aquatic heroics. During an April episode of "Brooke & Connor Make a Podcast," Dylan recounted a harrowing experience on his first visit to Miami's South Beach. He described walking up to the shore and immediately hearing screams from people struggling in the water. Realizing the strong currents were "ripping" and observing no lifeguards, Dylan, along with his "buddy Brandon and Sam Asghari," sprang into action. He recalled seeing "five girls" with their hands up, screaming, and proceeded to help rescue them, stating he "swam one in, swam back for another girl." After ensuring everyone was safe, he remembered hugging one girl on shore before simply "walking away like normal," humorously concluding, "First 10 seconds on this beach and there’s a rescue, like, Miami’s weird."
Interestingly, Zac Efron himself has had a past "minor swimming incident" in Ibiza, Spain, last August. According to reports, the actor was pulled from his villa pool by workers and taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure after ingesting a large amount of water. Despite the scare, Zac quickly reassured fans of his well-being by sharing a workout photo on Instagram the very next day, captioned “Happy and healthy. Thanks for the well wishes,” demonstrating his resilience and continued comfort with water, as evidenced by his recent lake activities.
