Youth Cong to hold job fair in city on July 19
Patna: National Youth Congress president, Uday Bhanu Chib, on Saturday announced to organise a "job fair" for youths on July 19 here with the objective of "alleviating their unemployment condition".Addressing reporters here, Chib said after holding job fairs in Jaipur and Delhi, they now plan to launch a similar initiative in Bihar through which "thousands of youths will get employment opportunities".He said the job fair would be organised at Gyan Bhavan on July 19, where more than 120 companies would be participating and over 5,000 youths are expected to secure employment on the spot. Companies from various sectors such as pharma, IT, manufacturing, and e-commerce would participate in the job fair, he said."Today, migration is a serious issue in Bihar, and neither the state nor the central govt is doing anything for the youths. One out of every three people in Bihar is in multidimensional poverty. The state tops the chart with the highest poverty," Chib alleged. He said that earlier, the Youth Congress in Delhi organised a job fair at Talkatora Stadium, where 161 companies participated, with more than 10,000 youths registering themselves, and around 3,500 of them securing jobs after interviews.
"This is the beginning of change," he said.State Congress president Rajesh Kumar, while praising the initiative of the Youth Congress, said what the govt should have done is being carried out by the Youth Congress. "This is a very historic initiative in which the youth would be getting jobs on the spot," he said.
