The newest generation of young kids isn’t going to remember the original Yo Gabba Gabba!, but their parents, and perhaps even their older siblings, will. This musical kids show, which ran from 2007 to 2015, has achieved almost an almost cult-like status, and Apple TV+ brought it back to life.

In 2024, Apple TV+ revived the series under a slightly different name, Yo Gabba Gabbaland! The first season of the new show premiered in August of 2024, and a new season of the show is slated to be released early next year.
The show originally aired on Nickelodeon, and it followed DJ Lance Rock and his friends, five toys (with names like Plex and Foofa) who come to life. Each episode explored one simple concept, like eating, dancing, making friends, or sleeping. One of its core tenets was that it encouraged kids to dance and sing along, instead of sitting passively in front of the TV set.
Yo Gabba Gabbaland! features all the same toys come to life: the yellow robot, the pink flower, the spiky green monster, and more. But this time the show is hosted by a young girl named Kammy Kam.
Each episode of Yo Gabba Gabbaland! also features segments to keep kids imaginations and creativity engaged—some of which are inspired by the original series. There is a short segment that teaches kids about scientific concepts, and “story time” led by a celebrity guest. During “Beat of the Day,” a musician teaches kids how to make musical beats.
The love of music, singing, and dancing that made the show so beloved is still a big part of Yo Gabba Gabbaland! Both versions feature a segment called "The Super Music Friends Show," in which a band plays a song, usually on theme with the rest of the episode. Both the toys and the kids at home are encouraged to participate in the performance by dancing and singing alone.
In the new season of the show, Apple TV+ promises even more surprise celebrity guests and a “star-studded” lineup of musicians to join the characters for The Super Music Friends Show—although no specific artists have been revealed yet.
Season 2 is 10 episodes long, and it will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on January 30, 2026. In the meantime, all of Season 1 is available to stream now, and on June 20, all four seasons of the original Yo Gabba Gabba! will also be available to stream on the platform.
