Wrexham are second in the table, three points above Wycombe having played a game more than the Chairboys. Charlton Athletic and Stockport in fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Eight points separate Wrexham and Charlton but Parkinson dismissed the notion of the battle for second spot being a two horse race between his side and Wycombe.
"I'd never be presumptuous to say that," Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales.
"If I do start to say things like that then I'm sure Charlton and Stockport would be playing my quotes to their players.
"We concentrate on ourselves, it's as simple as that and we will see where it takes us at the end of the season.
"We know what we've got to do each week and we've got to be relentless in terms of the way we go about our performances."
