Worker management through AI: New Healthy Workplaces Campaign priority area | Safety and health at work EU-OSHA
Published 2 months ago• 1 minute read
Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly used to automate management tasks in the workplace - with 30% of EU workers reporting that their organisations use digital devices to assign shifts and 52% to determine the speed of work (OSH Pulse).
While these systems streamline repetitive tasks and increase productivity, they also pose risks, including reduced autonomy, augmented surveillance and de-skilling.
Ensuring that AI-based worker management systems have a positive impact and following a human-centred approach is crucial for workers’ safety and health. This is why the Healthy Workplaces Campaign now puts this priority area in the spotlight.
